We were so very honored to photograph this beautiful wedding of Josh & Jennifer (Krenik) Goates. Being present to hear Josh and Jennifer say “I Do” was a highlight of our year. We love this couple so much. They are two very special, talented people. You may remember their engagement here. Yep they are the Bach and Bongo couple. I told you they are talented. Now they will bring harmony together the rest of their lives.
The wedding was beautiful. Jennifer made her dress…I know who does that? It was absolutely gorgeous. I loved all the rows and rows and rows of twisted, cascading ruffles. She is sooooo tiny and looked fabulous with the sweet heart neckline and satin covered buttons. Make sure you catch the shot of her mother’s and grandmother’s hands helping her unbutton those teensy buttons. Such a great generational photo.
The wedding was officiated by Pastor Daniel Stephens at Mid Cites, Midland TX. There was a beautiful string quartet and sweet duet. Josh’s brother and his wife sang “Captivate Us”…such sweet harmony. The bride and groom braided three chords together symbolizing how three chords cannot be broken, just as their marriage in Christ cannot be broken.
After the ceremony we headed to Horseshoe Arena. It was decorated in vintage birdcages and birds, continuing her purple and silver ambience. The wedding cake was created by the bride’s sister, Christine. It was so pretty. The groom’s cake featured the bride and groom with their instruments. There was a very popular candy bar. The reception was complete with an amazing variety of music well played by many locals and friends of the family. Really enjoyed hearing some oldies!
Here are a few of my favorites from this special day.
